The participants of Open Hearts hold varies workshops through the use of El Art Cart. The youth direct these art making sessions (screen printing posters and t-shirts) and initiate conversations regarding race, culture, respect, and unity. 

With my direct guidance, youth work together to build a sense of understanding and respect among the current African American population and the influx of new Latino community members in East Baltimore.
