Foreigners in their Native Land
The colonization of the Americas brought forth “La Frontera” (the border), both a literal and symbolic divide between the Anglo and un-American ideologies. This triptych is a representation of my shared experience with loved ones, our ongoing struggle to be recognized and represented as fully participating U.S. citizens. This work is a reflection of the adversities my family has dealt with when divided by unjust deportations and the loss of loved ones from migration and racially motivated crimes.
